Beyul Adventure was founded in 2007 by Ang Jangbu Sherpa and Pasang Tshering Sherpa, who both grew up in the villages of the Khumbu. Between them they bring decades of experience in Himalayan trekking and mountaineering.
Our guides, cooks and porters come from mountain communities across Nepal. That means routes shaped by local knowledge, care that starts at the airport, and a trip that supports the valleys you visit.

From the trail
Do I need trekking experience?
Not for most of our treks. Routes like Everest Base Camp or Annapurna Base Camp need good fitness and a willingness to walk several hours a day, but no technical skills. Trekking peaks such as Mera or Island Peak need basic mountaineering skills, and we can include training days with our climbing Sherpas.
When is the best time to go?
For most of Nepal, spring (March to May) and autumn (October to November) bring the clearest skies. Upper Mustang and Dolpo sit in a rain shadow and are good through the summer monsoon. Tibet is best from April to June and September to October. See the season guide above for every trip type.
How do you handle altitude?
Every itinerary is built with acclimatization days at the right heights. Our guides are trained to recognize the signs of altitude sickness, and the plan always allows for rest or descent. Going slowly is how people reach the top.
Who arranges permits?
We do. We arrange trekking permits, national park and conservation area fees, and climbing and expedition permits. From Kathmandu, travel to Tibet is on a Chinese group visa with a Tibet Travel Permit, plus extra permits for areas such as Everest North and Kailash. We arrange them through a licensed agency and guide you through the process.
Can you create a private or custom trip?
Yes. Every journey we run is built around the group, from a couple to a large organized team, with your dates, pace and interests. Tell us what you have in mind and we'll design the route.
Where will we stay?
On popular routes we stay in teahouses and lodges. On remote treks, in Tibet and on climbs we run fully supported camps with our own crew, kitchen team and quality camping equipment.
Do I need travel insurance?
We strongly recommend insurance that covers high-altitude trekking and helicopter evacuation, and for climbs, cover for the altitude of your peak.
What happens when I arrive in Kathmandu?
Our team meets you at the airport and looks after you from the first day. Before the trek we brief you on the route, check your equipment and answer every question.
