Pilgrimage

Mount Kailash

Walk the kora around sacred Kailash, revered in Buddhism, Hinduism, Bon and Jainism. Pilgrims believe one circuit washes away the sins of a lifetime. The route crosses the Dolma La at 5,630 m.

Permits and expeditions in Tibet

From Kathmandu, travel to Tibet is on a Chinese group visa with a Tibet Travel Permit, plus extra permits for areas such as Everest North and Kailash, all arranged through a licensed agency. Permits take time, so share your dates with us early and we'll guide you through every step.

Expeditions: our climbing Sherpas have summited many 8,000 m peaks and provide full expedition support in Tibet. Contact us about available routes.
